About Ph.D.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is a full-time doctoral programme that offers research scholars opportunities for advanced studies and research in different areas of 'management'. The programme aims to prepare research scholars for careers in teaching and research in management studies, for careers in the academic institutions and in other related disciplines and organizations that require advanced analytical and research capabilities. The Programme offers its research scholars a unique opportunity to engage in high-quality intra-disciplinary as well as interdisciplinary research. The Programme is committed to educating scholars who will become leaders in their fields of research. The complete guidelines about Ph.D. are given in the Ph.D. Handbook which will be given to each scholar at the time of registration to the programme. 

Candidate with post-graduation degree can complete Ph.D. in 3 years time.

Program Learning Goals (PLGs) (Competencies)

Graduates of the PhD program should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • PLG 1 : Superior pedagogy:- The program will provide students with opportunities to develop their teaching skills through hands-on teaching experience, mentoring, and feedback from experienced faculty.
  • PLG 2 : Effective researcher:- The program will equip students with the skills necessary to conduct high-quality research that is publishable in top-tier academic journals. This will include training in research methodology, data analysis, and academic writing.
  • PLG 3 : Develop analytical and critical thinking:- The program will focus on developing students' analytical skills, including the ability to critically evaluate research and data, identify gaps in knowledge, and design and execute rigorous research studies.
  • PLG 4 : Build research methodology expertise:- The program will provide students with a deep understanding of research methods and data analysis techniques relevant to their field of study.n
  • PLG 5 : Develop communication skills:- The program will focus on developing students' oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present their research findings in clear and compelling ways.
  • PLG 6 : Networking and collaboration:- The program will provide students with opportunities to build networks and collaborate with other scholars in their field, including participation in conferences, workshops, and other scholarly events.
  • PLG 7 : The program will equip students with project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate complex projects in both academic and non-academic settings.
